Had a glitch with ordering but they made it right....as right it could be made.

Started my order with MTL for single hydraulic, 54 grapple.
Texted right away when I realized I made a mistake and wanted the dual hydraulic (dual grapple)
Wanted to cancel and reorder. Received a call immediately saying that he will get it changed and even though the dual grapple cost a little more, he was not going to charge me more.

When I received the grapple, it was the original one I ordered. There was no time to ship it back since I was about to move to Alaska.

He gave me a substantial price discount for the mistake.

The single grapple has been working just fine for for me. Pulling out large logs and lifting stumps for 12” or better spruce and birch.

I have a RK5 model that works pretty good. I emailed them last week to see if they still had the small single lid root grapple but they haven't replied.

Their phone communication sucks but texting them works pretty well.

I have the dual lid model and like it...but may not mean much. It is my first grapple. I may be happy with mediocre...lol

I have had my MTL grapple for over a year and have been pleased. I had a Wild Kat grapple on my last tractor and was pleased with it also. I didn’t see paying a fortune for a grapple.

I purchased a MTL root grapple about 10 months ago and had a pin weld break in it. I took a picture of the weld that broke and texted it over and they replied "you broke it, not our responsibility". I was shocked by this response and told them so. They basically told me to take a hike as they don't want me as a customer. I was simply trying to figure out what part I needed and how to order it. Do some research on these guys because my experience is not unique. I will never do business with them again.

I tried to buy a root grapple with this group (mtl attachments) last month and had the worst experience. Cliff is a piece of work and is a terrible person to work with. I wish i would have read the google reviews before ordering .

Anyway to sum it all up without going into details , i had to call the local sherrif to get my refund. No joke.

Good info. I don't think I would ever need to go that far afield to get an attachment. Shipping costs, for a single purchase, tend to take the joy out of a new implement.

Shipping is included with MTL and many other suppliers of attachments. So far, for less than 1/2 the price I am OK with their product. Of course if it broke and could not be repaired that would change.

I just ordered a 60" root grapple from Mid-State Attachments, in Denton, NC.
$900 cost,(no tax) and 600 lbs. weight, with the shipping for 850 miles being $252.
I consider that to be an acceptable shipping price.
