I need to replace the driver's side rear axle bearing on my well used Kawasaki Mule 2510 4x4. If I am reading the repair manual correctly, it looks as if I have to detach the rear leaf springs and brake lines and drop the axle bracket so that the axles can be separated from the drive shafts and then slid out of the axle hubs. Can anyone who has done this before confirm that I need to get the axle out of the hub before I can replace the bearing(s), and that dropping the axle bracket is the only way to get the axle out of the hub? Thanks.
