I will also give the 3010 trans 4x4 a big thumbs up :D
We only have about 75 hours on it but we work the heck out of it. I added a hydraulic tilt bed, Warn winch and full skid plates. The dumping bed is great. We fill it with loads of horse manure and stall shavings,,,drive it to the other end of the farm and dump it in our compost bins. My 80 year old mother does this with no trouble. I haven't had to use the winch but like to know it's there if needed. Our forested acreage is a bit rough with creek beds and such and I knew the skid plates (one for each CV joint and one main engine/tranny plate) have saved me from damage. We even load it with 4 adults and travel through the woods. If the 4wd doesn't get me through a rut I just drop in the locking diff and away we go.
Overall I'm very impressed. Nothing has broken and it just keeps on going...just like a mule

Wisconsin cold is different than Texas cold. Our 3010 has no problems with Texas cold.;)

Ho ho! Not so!

In Wisconsin, we just have a special name for "Texas cold" - summer.

Do you know how to tell the difference from -10F to -20F to -30F to -40F to -50F?

Easy, at -10 the snow starts to squeek like fingernails on a chalk board when you walk on it.
At -20 the fluid in your shocks is nearly solid and the gear lube is so thick you can hardly shift.
At -30, you sit 2" higher in the seat because the foam is solid. By the time you get to work, your butt has warmed it enough so you can see out the rear view mirror.
At -40 all the native born Wisconsonites wear a hat while going bare chested at the Packer game.
At -50, you have to break the ice off your beer before you take a drink.

It took us about two months to figure out that the 3010 had to be fully choked by pulling the knob all the way out as far as it will go and hold it there while cranking the engine. We find that it fires almost immediately when we do that. However, both our Mule and the neighbor's always have had a problem idling even when warm. I finally looked at my service manual (ordered online) and made a slight adjustment to idle speed. It has made the Mule idle like a dream. You have to be careful that you don't get the speed so high that the gears grind when you move the shift lever, but if you get it just right, it makes a lot of difference.

I'd .

I wish I knew how to get mine to run smoother. Our 3010 is used to exercise the dogs and to help with my dog training business and I could not get along without it. Biggest complaint for me is the rough ride.

They are designed to haul about 1000 pounds and when run empty the suspension is nearly solid. They run like a cadilac with 6-700 pounds in the box. You could also change to some softer tires that would help suck up the bumps.
