Mule 4010 Trans roof?

Has anyone built a roof for a mule or other UTV? Any suggestions on materials? The ones I have found online are 700+.

I have a 3010 Trans Diesel Mule and I made a top out of plywood :laughing:

Sounds cheesy...and maybe it is , but it cost me $30 and has lasted over 3years so far! It`s strong enough for me (210 lbs.) and the wife (MUCH LESS..LOL) to stand on with NO problems. I coated it with a good automotive tex. coating then painted it flat black .

It doesn`t wrap around the roll bars like the high dollar ones but it`s enough to keep the sun off of you and the rain as long as you are sitting still. :thumbsup:

Anyway you could post some pictures? How did you handle the cage when you raise the bed? I was thinking of using a bed liner to coat it, is that what you used?

i made a top for my rhino out of 1/8th aluminum . took some rail road sections as weights and hooked them to the ends of the plate and slowely heated the aluminum up just enough to have the weights pull it down . the curve fit the rhino rops perfect. i then welded my speaker boxs to the top and put in a upper console all welded aluminum with a water proof cover over the stereo to protect it.

I don`t have any pics of it...sorry.

If I take the headache rack off or keep it in the forward most holes it clears the roof when dumping .

I used more of a gravel guard anti-chip type coating to cover it , the hurculiner stuff would probably be a better option though.
