Multi-Grade Oil for 1950 Ford 8N Advice Needed

What multi-grade engine oil would you use in an 8N Ford tractor that would be good for all year usage? I'm thinking maybe Rotella or Delo 400 in 15W-40. What think y'all? This tractor doesn't get used more than about 10 to 15 hours per year, if that much.

I sell New Holland 15W-40 and Conoco Phillips Fleet Supreme 15W-40 all the time for N series tractors. Can't think of the last time anyone asked for 30W for a tractor.

We always use 10W30 in these old machines.

I've been using Mobil Clean 5000, 10W-30 in my old tractors, a 1950 8N, 1940 Farmall H, & 1948 Farmall Cub. Cold starting is much easier than when I used 30W

Either mentioned will work.

The 15w40 will carry a bit better oil pressure and would be better suited for hot summer work. The 10w30 would be a good choice for colder weather, or if your engine isnt worn out too much or rebuilt recently, it will have no problem maintaining pressure.

i run 15w40 in all my old gassers.

if I lived in an *arctic* area, and she had double digit hot oil pressure i'd probably go 10w30.. then again.. 15w40 may be needed to get then double digit pressures..
