Multi speed pto

Just found this for the Ls tractors ( I believe its the Korean site)
If you look under the specs for the rio 50, seems the same as the R4047 it list a three speed pto as an option !!! Gonna have to ask some of the dealers about that !!!! sure would be nice to mow at the 750 rpm setting and thottle back on the engine rpm !!!! Dealers ???? can we get these ????:thumbsup:

My P7010C came standard with 3 speed pto. I use it in 750 mode to bushhog and throttle back to 75% of 540 rating which saves engine hours if not fuel. No way to check fuel difference easily but lower rpm should save fuel and it certainly isnt loading that 70 horse engine with a 7 foot BH.

My old grey market Yanmar also has 3 speed pto and I do it the same way. Why run 2500 RPM when 1800 will do the job. If I see I am coming up on a particular tough spot to cut, I will rev it up and hit it at higher RPM. I dont let it run long at the higher rate as the gear box will overheat.

Looking at the LS Tractor US site only the P series has a muilt speed PTO.

I have looked at so many tractor specs in the last few days I guess I confused my self. After searching back again, I found that besides my P7010 the Kubota B 2x20 series have dual speed pto 540 / 960. I remember back in my days on the farm (60-70's) that the larger tractors had dual PTO shafts, one was 540 and right below it was a 1000. They had different splines on them so you couldnt hook a 540 implement onto the 1000 shaft.
I do like the P series with the 540/750/1000 speed though. That is the same as my Yanmar and the 750 speed is just enough to where you can run 75% of 540 RPM throttle and get the 540 speed. The motor is still fast enough to give you full power but slow enough to get much better fuel economy while doing the same work.
