Muriatic Acid on bluestone pavers

I have some paver edging that have some concrete on them, The concrete is the results of a messy pour job that should have been cleaned up. It was not, and after a year, I am tired of looking at the slop on our pavers.

I don稚 have a paver to test against, has anyone else done an acid treatment to clean up bluestone? What were the results?

I am familiar with working the acid, so no issues there, thanks.

try some pickling vinegar and a stiff brush first ...

There are some good cleaners in the tile section of Home Depot and Lowes that should work for this. They are designed to clean off the mortar from stone or ceramic tile after it's set up.

I got some bluestone from ripped out steps and wanted to use it to make a mantle
Stone was 4 in thick 7 ft long and 14in wide
one side had a lot of cement on it the whole length
Acid treatment worked great. Used a gallon and did not dilute.
Did it outdoors with slight breeze blowing away from me.
Took many treatments to get it all done over a few days
flushed with water at the end of each day
dissolved concrete and left sand in its place and I did brush with wire brush
Looks great

That's what I want to hear. I don't feel like trying products with no experience behind them.
