Murphy\'s law?

Monday the wife and I got up at 2:00 am so we could make the trip to the airport for her departure to Florida for 3 weeks.
I figured I'd be back home around 8:00 am which would give me the whole day to take the tractor and move a bunch of wood from just up the road to the house.

The woodpile is about 3/4 of a mile from the house up a dirt road. The first trip went fine, 4 logs 9 feet long 12 to 16 inches in diameter on my log transport. Just as I was headed for the second trip I noticed the right front tire had oil on it.

One of the hydraulic fittings where the rubber hose meets the steel line on the lift arms was leaking a pretty good stream.
Tightening the fitting made the leak worse.

I called the dealer, which is a 45 minute drive away, and asked if they could fix me up with a new hose. They said bring the hose up and they would see what they could do.

After I removed the hose I looked at the leaking end and noticed the fitting had a crack right across the seating surface.
Two hours later I was back in business. In that time I could have made 6 trips to the woodpile and back, oh well.

I guess it was better for it to happen then when I had the time to get it fixed than another time when the dealer was closed. Looking foward to a lot of seat time in the next 3 weeks.
