Worked YM2000B all day, went to restart it to put back in the barn, turned key backwards accidentally, to "TS", as I was getting in the seat, oops! Turned to the right, and ... nothing, and all lights, everything is out. Must have blown main fuse somewhere? Is it located behind dash with all other electrical? Never happened before! Thanks in advance for all advice!

Check your battery cables, specially the negative cable where it is bolted to the frame.

Would bumping the TS on the switch have an effect on the battery cable? It had been started numerous times prior to this incident, now there is no power anywhere.

Could just be coincidence, not highly unusual for this to happen. Easy check.

Not sure if the 2000B wiring is the same or close to the 2000. The 2000 does not have a master fuse. The start switch supplies power to the fuse panel. If they are similar, you would have to have blown all of the fuses and that is unlikely. I would put a meter on the start switch and make sure it is connecting power to the fuse panel then go from there. According to the 2000 diagram, the TS is not fused and could possibly burn the start switch contacts if it was a direct short.

Last fall, I let off the starter on my 276D before the motor fully caught. I tried again.. no power anywhere. I replaced the cables ( why not.. might've been 23 years old) & ground down the frame where the negative connected. It's been working ever since.
I'd go after that ground first. I have no idea why it would work one second & not the next.... except it did.

UPDATE! What a coincidence! Yes, you guys were right, barely loose negative connection at the battery, thus no ground. Removed, cleaned and tightened, and "bam!" fires right up. But how weird is that? Been using a post hole digger all day, and am backing in to the barn to put it up. Hit the key in the switch to "TS" which I have never used in all my years of ownership. 02 seconds later she is dead! So they HAVE to be connected right?! Nope, it had just wiggled loose enough to prevent voltage flow. Dang! It's not always what it appears! Thanks again, she's clanging and banging like she always does! Coyote.
