I'm starting this thread to discuss and review my new MUTS ATV trailer. Feel free to discuss your trailer if you have one or ask questions. I'll also post videos of the trailer as time allows.

Developed in the Canadian north Ontario woods, the MUTS trailer is built for towing behind am ATV/UTV or tractor. It uses a boogie suspension with 4 high flotation tires. The coolest feature is its hand operated winch that lifts the bed to dump.

MUTS - Multi-Use Trailer System for your ATV, Quad and 4 Wheeler - Welcome

I've been studying these trailers for around 5 years. Since they are now available in the US without having to deal with customs I couldn't come up with an excuse not to buy one! I ordered my trailer on Tuesday and picked it up at the freight depot on Thursday! The trailer comes in a large box that's around 6' long. The box is attached to a pallet to make handling easier. The shipment weight is around 510 lbs. So you either need some equipment or a few folks to move the crate around.

Today I'm posting pics of unloading crate from my truck, what the shipment looks like without the lid and a tire size comparison with my Honda Foreman 450ES. The big floatation tires are cool! I'll post more info in a few days!

One of our local outdoor equipment dealers is selling the DR version of this type trailer. Interesting, but I don't really have a use for one at this time.

I have an older, single-axle MUTS, well used, which was expensive to ship from Canada to Florida.

MUTS is highest quality rig of its type. Nothing has broken or worn out after five years. No rust. No flat tires.

MUTS took me one day to assemble.

I remain happy I paid a moderate premium for MUTS quality.

Well, steel is not light gauge. Nothing has deformed despite heavy use. Paint is exceptional.

Is the steel heavy guage?

I think they are made from 16 gauge galvanized steel that's painted green. I looked into one but ended up making my own. I didn't need two axles since I was only going to use it behind an ATV. I prefer tires from a road legal trailer and leaf springs over ATV tires so I made my own trailer. I need to make a new one though since I now have a side by side. I'll use golf cart wheels and I have an old motorcycle trailer I'll rob the axle and springs off of. I'm just waiting until after Christmas since my wife is going to get me a press brake for my 20 ton shop press. It'll work nice to bend 1/8" diamond plate steel to make the fenders. The MUTS trailers do look nice.

You are welcome! I like to share information to help others.

Yes I'm very impressed with build quality of the trailer so far. I hope to start assembly tomorrow evening.

Jeff9366... I've always admired your single axle MUTS trailer. I'm glad you responded to the thread! You certainly put your trailer through a workout!!

With 1,000 pounds of dirt in the MUTS it take my Kubota RTV500, 18-hp, HST, some time to accelerate, which is no big deal.

I have to be careful not to brake hard. There is the potential to jackknife the single axle trailer with a 1,000 pound payload, if you brake too hard.

I am sure you will enjoy your MUTS.
