MX 5 gearbox failure

Good morning all,I just broke the second output shaft on my MX 5 bush hog. does anybody know if the comer gearbox is holding up over time?

Thanks, I did and I think it's a good plan. I read all the posts up to last month and (brown 40) never mentions if he still has it or if it's still working. I'm hoping he will see my post next time he gets online and give me answer. I'm new to forums and I don't know if there is a way to contact him directly or do I have to wait for him to see the post?

No issues with my model year 2015 MX 5.

What year is your unit and how many hours do you have on it?

Any particular details on what may have caused the break?

It was a 2005 with about 1200 hours on it. I believe they redesigned the newer ones and the stump jumper is held on with a nut and a cotter pin where mine is held on with a bolt. Between the bolt hole and a snap ring grove just above it creating a weak spot on the output shaft. I have a 27.HP tractor and the mower has a 65 HP gearbox. I知 guessing the lower HP bought me some time,and the aftermarket parts were a bad idea.
