MX-6 output shaft repair

I didn't even ask how much for the 75HP box.
I figured I think the one that came on the cutter was 90HP I think (not sure so don't hold me to that) and replacing it with a &%HP unit didn't sound like a good move.

I did not realize the 75HP gear box was a step down. So I would have passed too.

The gearbox and shaft were large enough for the cutter and should have worked fine. The problem has been the flaw in the shafts and no one has made good on this whether John Deere or a subcontractor if the case. I know it did not impress me in a good way and when I asked the dealer about the problem he would not admit the problem with the MX5 or MX6 exists. So I sold mine before it had a chance to break. Better to lose $500 now than $1500 later I thought.
