Does anyone have any experience with the MX4700/5100 Kubota? Trying to decide between Yanmar LX or Kubota

I have 80 hrs on my mx5100. It has been an outstanding little tractor so far. I have used it pretty hard skidding logs and baling hay. The loader seems as strong as you can expect from a tractor in this frame size. I didn't price a yanmar but they do come standard with some nice features. Yanmar unfortunately isn't represented very well in my area yet.

Thanks for the info. They only have one Yanmar dealer by me . Do you have any issues with your 3pt hitch? I here some Kubota operators complain about3 pt hitch being jerky. Also do you have a backhoe?

The 3pt is not as smooth as the one on my old Ford 3600 but I grade my driveway with a box blade without any issue. I didn't really even notice it until I read a thread on here about it. I don't loose any sleep about it ill put it that way. I don't have a backhoe for it but I've heard good things about kubotas bh92.

I have an MX5100, I have over 100 hrs on it. I have used it for hauling wood in the winter time I need chains, in the summer no problems. I also have a woods 9000 backhoe, this tractor has really amazed me. I have a 6' bush hog no problems. I am 110% happy with this tractor! I have had no problems with the jerky 3 point hitch either.

I was wondering if I could fit this MX5100 with a backhoe in a garage. Standard 8 ft door with about 17.5 ft depth. Would you know the approximate length and height of your MX?

Hi, I have an MX 5100 4wd. I went with the gear driven shuttle shift and quick attach fel. I only have maybe 20 hours on it, but this is one sweet tractor.Lots of power and the fel is no joke. I have a bunch of attachments and all perform perfectly. And no jerky 3 pt. hitch either. I absolutely love this tractor. I dont know anything about yanmar, but then I am a Kubota guy....

Love mine - not sure of the length but it will fit an 8 foot door without a problem. Runs my 6' hog without bogging and use a grapple to move trees commonly without any problems.

I have a garage with an 8" door also. My ceiling is 9'4". I extend the hoe a little to get it inside, once it is inside I can bring it up and attach it but very little room to spare.

So that's great here and it's looks like you know a lot about Kubotas. This is probably too much tractor for me but I still want one

Have a 5100 at my work. Has 600 hours and does everything it's asked. Runs a 7' cutter with no trouble.

When you say you have little room to spare do you mean the depth of your garage or the height of your backhoe when stowed? Thank you for the info

I have the 5100 with 300 hours on it. I plow a 2.5 mile driveway in the winter and mow about 40 acres a few times a year alond with plenty of FEL use. It hasn't missed a beat. Not a single complaint so far.
