My 1042 repair does this sound like it may work?

Hi there guys!
I have had a Cub for three point five hours ( this was a new replacement cub cadet 1042 after the first new one was exchanged after problems at 1.5 hours) and it lost its power, was sluggish going uphill (about 27-30 degrees pitch). The dealer seems excellent (wish I could say the same with my coice of machine!), and is replacing the hyrdo transmission as after testing they said transmission was hot. Could someone tell me what they think of this. Im 2 hrs from the dealer and this is painful after spending double than the basic mtd tractor.
I'm usually an optimist but its so hard to sound and feel positive. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

By the Way Thanks to all who responded previously - I told the dealer the pages he needed to look up (I printed the email) and I also checked the tilt on the fuel filter as suggested by the fellow with the tractor at the church - many thanks.

Sorry you've had problems this soon but the incline you mentioned is awful steep for an entry level LT. Not sure how long any entry level machine could handle that amount of incline. These machine are intended for mowing grass on level ground with nothing but the operator for a load.

Yes, that is one heck of an incline! These units wont hold up long to that. Couple that with an operator on the heavier side = a failed transaxle. One of the main reasons I drag my oversized buttocks around on a 2544 /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif.
