My 4720 couldn't lift 2000Lbs that's how I discover this most interesting forum

with a Google search I found out it can only lift 1600 pounds, any one else as track for winter used...

The JD brochure says the 4x20 series will lift 2500 lbs 24" behind the link arms. Where did you read the 1600 lb lift?

Depends on the loader:
I have a 400cx on mine and have picked up 2700 lb concrete culvert. look back through my post for pix.

If I have the 4 in one on I have a payload of around 2000.

If you referring to the FEL lift capacity, the 400x is 2,368 lbs at pivot pin (max ht.) and 1742 lbs 500mm ahead of the pivot pin.

I just off loaded a ton (1 Pallet) of wood pellets from my Dodge 2500 Diesel bed with my JD 4320 with 400CX and Frontier pallet forks just fine. Only had my Champion wood chipper on the back so was a bit light vs having my 448 on the rear. (plus loaded tires) But moved them down from the barn to the garage - 1/4 mile away up hills and down hills just fine.

Tractor wheels sometimes skid on ice when blowing heavy snow drifts so I thought about using those tracks but unfortunately found they are not legal for road use here

I know many manufacturers do it, but lift ratings at pivot pin are useless to me and rather deceptive.

I agree on the pivot-pin stats. It just adds some more "numbers" to the mix; and doesn't really tell you, anything...

Maybe; just maybe - there's somebody out there lookin' for a tractor that they need to hang rocks or logs off the pivot points...
