I built a platform to hold a 1200 lb tiller and 100 lb base and used a bunch of HF wheels. After greasing the wheels all was OK, and they did roll but not until the grease was added. They had no grease but what appeared to be and excuse me here, but pork fat?
Long term, I gave up on the roller base because it still took up space in the shop and always seemed to be in the way. For a backhoe, however, the base like you have makes a lot of sense.
