There's a couple hundred yards of my one mile gravel road that I need to make a ditch for. Since it's one side of a narrow road with no shoulders, a sub soiler that rides in the middle won't work. Plus this looks like a one-time kind of use item and I really didn't want to spend $200-$300 for a new and/or used one.
So I came with this expedient sub soiler version that should work just fine for the limited job I have in mind. I simply took one of my box blade 18" shanks that I got from Agri-Supply and bolted it to the side of my BB.
Pics tell the story:
The top bolt is a 5/8" Grade 8; the bottom is 1/2" Grade 5.
