I described in detail a no-stop issue with my two-week old Kubota BX2370. I did the "preview post", but I could not find how to make it actually post.

So...will this work? Before I write exhaustively on the changing character of my issue.

Any time I write a lengthy post or email, I try to make a habit of copying the contents before proceeding with the send. If anything fails, you can always paste the entire thing into a new entry.

Good advice, thank you. I often do this, but forgot to separately save post as I did not realize how lengthy it was getting!

Strange electronic fail on my two-week-old Kubota BX2370. Current status.....no dashboard instrumentation when I turn key to 'on'. Tractor will start without any difficulty and runs fine. Turn key off and it keeps running. I checked the seat presence in gear or in neutral....doesn't matter....engine keeps running. I checked all the fuses and while all looked OK I swapped them anyway. No change. I have to push the fuel solenoid in the engine compartment to get it to stop.

I'm currently waiting for a call-back from our local Kubota dealer from which I purchased it. I think I'll go out and move some topsoil because that is what I did yesterday with this issue present. At least I know how to stop the thing!

I wouldn't run it personally.
You have no gauges or warning lights either right?
IF the key is not cutting it off then I would be highly suspect to run it since no safety system would be able to shut it off right now either so be careful.

Good advice.
Right....no gauges or warning lights. It no longer goes through the warning light start sequence, but it starts immediately when I engage the starter. Other things like the four-way flashers work. I am primarily running it to see if there was something I missed in the instructions or in machine settings.

Somewhere there is a magic electronic module that has failed. I haven't found it. One equally curious event in the pre-pre-pre-failure mode is that for a short while, the engine would cut-out if a raised myself out of the seat, even with the shift in neutral, and at idle, feet off everything, no other implement drives engaged, etc. It was then a subsequent surprise and change of failure mode that the engine would not stop regardless of shifter position and I was no longer seated.

Our local Kubota dealer found that the ignition switch had failed. They theorized it was due to corrosion during shipment or storage of the crated new tractor. They also replaced at my request an hydraulic hose and its fittings that was leaking. Wise advice had been given that such a leak never heals itself and only gets worse with time. The only remaining issue is the seat presence interlock does not work. The switch for PTO and mower works. However this appeared to be a new model with the switch for tractor movement buried inside the seat structure rather than the conventional external pressure button. The dealer and maintenance technician were uncertain as to the intended interlock. I wanted use of the unit rather than having them haul it away for another week. Bad choice!
