Good Evening,
My wife and I just purchased 8 acres where we are planning on building. Obviously, my JD 120 that I used for our 1/2 acre isn't going to cut it anymore. I've been doing some research, and what I think I've decided on is the Kubota B series.
Initially, the 2620 is what I was interested in, until I saw that a 72" MMM couldn't be used, only a 60". Since the 8 acres is currently all grass, I definitely want a 72". The lot is fairly level and there won't be any scalping issues with the bigger mower. On Kubota's website, they show the premium 2630 model, that apparently can handle the 72" mower, but its my understanding that they have been discontinued, correct me if I'm wrong. I believe the 2630 would be perfect for my uses, mainly mowing, light material moving, etc.
However, I ran across this B3200, Kubota Tractor and Backhoe which has a backhoe, but no mower. I also believe that it does not have the premium features of the 2630 or 3030...although I'm not sure I need them anyway. The backhoe would pay for itself with the money it would save doing my own electrical and well trenching, as well as backfilling around my new house. How is the price on this, since its essentially new? Are the ag tires going to ruin my grass? Maybe I'm buying too much tractor...any thoughts would be appreciated. Sorry for asking so many questions, I'm just trying to make an informed decision...
