All it needs is a splash of Orange paint. Looks good.

Nice work Whidbey. I just bought the GN version of that from TS for $160. I'm sure you saved yourself some $$. I wanted to build one also, but no time, and the price of steel is getting ridiculous. Did you use a MIG or stick for that job?

C'mon now, lets see the close ups..!!! just kiddin.

I recon a nice coat of black would be the ticket for that job....

So, now you've got the taste for steel fabrication, whats next..?

Welcome,

and great job! Building your own attachments can save money, give you a stronger product, and gives a good level of satisfaction.

So, what is next?

One of the fun parts of tractor owning is the ability to modify them and make your own impliments. Now that you've started down that road, you're life will never be the same!!!!!

Congrats on a nice job.

Your welds look better than my first ones !!!

My first welding project was a garden sprayer stand, made from old hog watering pipes: I found 2 pipes with threaded ends, and i needed them together, because i had no pipe thread cutter. Thats when i first dare to touch my older brother's sacred welder:D
When we first used it, there was as much water spraying from the weld in the pipe, as from the sprayer itself ;)

Next project was a 3pt hitch and a dirt scoop, on my pedal go kart when i was 13 :) I grew too tall for it, and when i was busy lengthening the frame, i decided to weld on a 3pt hitch (operated by a long hand lever) too, because i had an 8 week long school holiday. with some concrete tied to the front, it was able to hold 120 kg of dirt in the bucket, accurately measured with my mothers personal scales without her permission :)

I used my millermatic 180, I haven't decided on the next project, I have a few repair projects and mods first.
