my first welding project

I just got a Hobart 210 MVP welder, since I did not have a cart for it I decided that would be a good first project. I am not finished yet, still need a few gussets and something to hold my 40cf bottle.

Looks good. Nice to make something yourself isn't it.
Be sure to make the caster plate parallel to the floor, or they will not want to turn freely.

Nice build. I've been thinking of making a dedicated dolly to strap my Lincoln Tombstone too. It has wheels but is hard to move it around.

And I'd like to have some hangers where I can hang the cables on.

That'd be a great winter project for me once I get back to Kansas where I can work in the shop.

Funny, I keep saying that I will finally build custom cart but I keep pushing that project down the list. So good you do it right away before you get busy building other stuff. Nice job

making some progress, just need to cut some sheet metal and paint it for the shelves and improve the bottle holder. would like to find some Hobart stickers so it looks factory.

Good project. I'd suggest going to at least an 80 cu. ft. cylinder so it will last longer. I bet the price difference would be minimal as well. When I expanded your picture, it looks like you were burning a little cold. Try turning your wire speed and volts up a bit and with the type of MIG welding you're doing, it's always a good idea to twist your wrist side to side or go in circles to be sure you get proper fusion on both sides of the joint.
