This is my first post. After reading on here and other places I decided to buy the 2660. I mostly needed it to snowblow my driveway that is about 900 feet long. I live in the mountains of utah at 8100 ft. Last year we had over 500 inches at my house. Ive been snowblowing with a craftsman 1450 blower but that got old real quick. also $1,000 in warranty after 1 season. 1 ft of snow= 3 plus hour of work before going skiing. no thanks. I wanted the bx 25 but could not afford it. Everyone told me to get the JD 2305 but kubota has 0% for 5 years theat I couldn't get with anyone else. I had to wait 3 weeks till the sub frame kit came till they could deliver it but since then it snowed. So I had to drive it 3 miles to my house befor work today. I was really suprised in the power that it has. I didnt have time to take the loader off before work. Any advise would be helpful. Like I said this is my first tractor. Here she is. fits perfect in my garage

Congrats on the new tractor. You will enjoy the upgrade from the Craftsman. I was in the middle of purchasing a B3030 this time last year and it has been great, about 60 hrs. now. I'm in Western Ky. so not much snow but I use the fel bucket and a 6' rear blade. Hope you enjoy new unit.

Thanks! I can't wait till the next storm. I might have to play around with the loader just to get use to it.

BTG, congrats on the new tractor. If the loader is anything like the one on my BX24, then it should come off in about 10 minutes. Took me 15 minutes the first time since I had to read the manual as I went along. You'll be glad you went with the 2660, bigger rear tires, higher ground clearance and it may not sound like much, but those extra 3 HP makes a pretty big difference. Enjoy..

Ditto Bota! I can't wait to move on the 2660 myself. We haven't relocated to our acreage as yet so I keep putting off the purchase. After much Research I have settled on being like you BTG. That is a great machine.
Congrats BTG! HOOAH!

Congratulations on your purchase. Taking the loader off is fairly easy if you follow the instructions in the book. Also watch this video.
YouTube - Removing a loader from the Kubota BX24
Notice him wiggling the fel control lever before he disconnects the hydraulic connectors, This is very important. If you don't get the pressure relieved you will have a hard time getting them reconnected. I thought I had done this but some way I didn't get the pressure off and it about drove me crazy. When you reconnect the fittings, they should slide on fairly easy and "click" connected, if they don't they ain't. I finally lossened one of the fittings with a wrench to release the pressure. Also, where you take the fel off is very important, do it on a solid and flat spot.

I have JD 2305 as well as a Kubota BX2660 and prefer the Kubota, so I believe you made the right choice.

I agree with everything JohnThomas said, removing the FEL is a breeze and given a flat surface, it is a five minute job tops. I have even taken mine off on chat without too much problem.

If you don't have a hard flat surface, a sheet of plywood works great.

Enjoy your tractor.

Now that's a cool look having the FEL and a front mounted snowblower installed at the same time!! Congrats on the new tractor.

 I see that it is physically possible to have the FEL and front blower mounted at the same time, but it's definitely a bad idea. If you've got the hydraulic lines hooked to the blower, then the loader is going to leak down. The manual specifically says not to install the loader with the quick hitch subframe installed. Besides that, operating the snowblower with the FEL in your way obstructs your vision and interferes with the discharge path. I'm sure this was temporary as you were eager to try it out, but again this is a really bad idea.

congrats on your purchase, can't see living at 8100ft and not having a diesel powered blower. what part of the state to do you ski/live? i spent 6 years in the early 90's and was in the mountains more then anywhere else, couldn't get enough.. still miss the good snow but mt baker has it's days for sure.. welcome to the board. ;-)
