My FREE set of SSQA pallet forks!

I needed a set of forks for my little tractor and could not justify the cost of buying them so I built this ugly thing from a pile of CRAP steel in my back yard on Monday... while home on a sick day from work :)

With my lift cap at ~ 1270lbs or so, it didn't need to be overly engineered and I wanted to keep the weight down as much as possible.

Everything I used was free to me except the electricity, the welding supplies and the paint (when i get around to painting it). I even got paid my hourly wage to make it (sick leave) :dance1:

I was going to add a center support tube with a 2" hitch receiver but was wondering how useful it is to have that on there?
Also was thinking about adding some D-rings to the 6" channel and 3 point attach pins to the back side before it goes to paint. Good idea or bad idea?

I would cut 45 degree chunks of 2"x2"x0.25" square tube and weld them in as gussets on the inside radius of your horizontal to vertical intersections.
