Sent the tractor to the dealer weekend before last (right in the middle of the big snow we had here) to, among other things, have a Woods BH6000 backhoe put on. I got some time on it today digging a french drain around a currently built shed and have a new found respect for good backhoe operators. Those extra hyd. cylinders do provide some interesting movement capability, but a few more hours and I will have it down.
My dealer told me long ago he thought the Woods backhoe was a little better than the MF and I asked him to show me the difference on the GC2310 that was sitting nearby. He pointed out the curved boom and a few other things but what really caught my eye was the easily replacable teeth on the Woods bucket. If you are considering putting a backhoe on your GC2300, there is a side by side comparison on Woods website.
I also had the oil filter cover put on.
Hope it is nice out this weekend. I have lots of backhoe digging to do and I hope I get the chance to do it. I can see that I will be able to do some serious damage with this thing.
