Thought I'd share a few pictures of my JD-345. I love how easy this mower is to operate and use. To bad these type mowers are slowly gowning away to cheaper models. I have 755 hrs on my JD-345 with a 54" mower deck. Still runs strong and cuts nice. Enjoy☺☺

There are better-built models to choose from as well. Don't have to go to the cheap ones. :)

Looks like you have kept pretty good care of yours. They were a classic and continue to be strong tractors. Should have many hours more before it is wore out. And the value has stayed high.

I got my father to finally give up his Cub 124 after I got him a mint JD 325. He wanted to continue to mow his own yard at 76 years young, but the Cub is getting very tired and he needed something that he could get on and mow without having to repair something first. The Cub was a good unit and I "cut my teeth" on it, but it needs a restoration to be in good working order. He'll never admit it, but I believe he likes the hydro now that he has gotten used to it. With only 375 hours on the Deere, hopefully it will do all the mowing he'll be doing and I won't have to trailer a mower over to his house when I do the mowing - my son has taken over the ztr anyway.

I hope he likes his JD 325. I had an old school JD 216 that was a gear shifter before I bought my JD 345 that has hydraulic assist on everything. My JD 345 is light years ahead in ease of use then my JD 216 was.

I suspect he likes it pretty well, as it now is parked in the garage and not out in the shed. These units like your 345, etc. are pretty hard to beat in the "new old school" class. BTW, nice 345 you have there Texasgreen!

Up until April I had a 2000 345 with 2160 hard hours on it, it still ran as good as it did new but it was starting to look a little long in the tooth. I sold it to my neighbor and he is loving it. I found a newer GX345 in May and brought it home. Many of my friends have John Deere tractor and IMO the 345/GX345 is one of the best newer garden tractors ever built. With only 755 hrs you just got it broke in, you will have many more years of use.

Yep, I have one too. It has 480 hours on it and it's still going strong. I keep it maintained by the Owner's Manual schedule with JD parts and fluids. Other than several trips to the JD dealer for circuit board failures and a couple of drive pulleys replaced, it has been doing a good job since the summer of 1988. It replaced a red Cub Cadet 782, one of the last ones built by I-H before the Cub Cadet line was sold. I sold the Cub Cadet to a friend who is still using it to mow about 2 acres.
