I can't seem to win when it comes to tractors . Perhaps my destination all along has been the slave labor use of a shovel and wheel barrow :( for my acreage . I made this video in hopes that someone may be able to help solve my latest hydraulic issue . If anyone has any advise , I would greatly appropriate hearing from you :)

I am not hydraulic expert.
The hose you are pinching doesn't go to the pump but drains fluid back to the tank. It might be pressure relief valve is stuck open. To test it check the force of bucket curl. If the curl doesn't develop large force then the relief is open. The valve might make hissing noise and the whole valve block would get hot. If the curl develops large force then there is something wrong with spool.
You might also try to pull the lift valve while moving the curl valve and see what if anything happens. If the curl valve is not centered it might prevent operation of the lift. Some of the hydraulic gurus will chime in and give you better advice.

Thanks Red . Awesome links .In reading the pdf about the johnson model 14 fel . it stated that air can get in the line causing a " choppy movement " .Hmmmmmmmm , I wonder , how would a guy go about bleeding air from a fel ?

Cycle it full stroke several times. It should purge the air out.

I don't have to loosen any lines or anything , just pinch that return line ( like in the video ) so it will lift ?

I don't think air in the cylinder is the problem. The hydraulic fluid is draining to to the tank instead going to the lift cylinder. There is some issue with lift or curl valve or the pressure relief valve is opened and doesn't allow pressure build up to operate the lift cylinder. Find out the manufacturer of the valves and model and google for the info. You might also get a 3000 psi gauge and check the hydraulic pressure. Your tractor doesn't have separate hydraulic pump but it uses fluid from the charge pump for the variable delivery pump used to drive the tractor. I am hoping that some owner of the same tractor chime in with better advice.
Also post more details. Such as operation of the bucket curl. Does the curl have power or is it weak like the lift? Can you drive the tractor? Does it spin wheels when pushed against immovable object? And this sort of things.

Broken oring/seal on the spool or broken spool or as previously mentioned relief valve failure.
