My log skidder and 3pt hitch

This weekend I built a log skidder and 3pt hitch. I put a 2 hitch on the bottom with grab hooks for moving trailers. On the top I put a winch plate that I had laying around and put slot in it to hold chains, maybe later I will add a winch. I also put two grab hooks on the top to pull from. On the bottom I put a cutting edge to protect the tractor from logs and so I can push them up without turning around to use the FEL. I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

That looks real good.

If I'd add anything, it would be an insert to go in the receiver that would lift a log off the ground so you could slip the chain under easier. But the choker chains with the long needle on the end are also handy for getting that chain under a log tight to the ground.

I don't have time to build you one because I have been building a cab for my farmall 45. It gets to be very time consuming. I ran out of steel for the cab this weekend and thew this together Sunday afternoon.

That a great ideal for a pin to lift the ends of logs. I have a large form pin and some two inch square stock left. I will have to make one in my spare time. Thanks
