Welcome, we seem to think alike! I took delivery on a NX5010C last week and the 60" Wicked Grapple came this week. We needed the cab for East TX summers and our uses favor shuttle shift.

My Dad passed away nearly 10 years ago, but I don't I would ever catch him on a tractor. Enjoy your time together with Dad.

In many ways, I had more interests in common with my FIL (also passed away). I think that he would have been like a kid in the candy store on our retirement property in the country - tractoring, hunting, fishing, piddling in the shop ...

I'm pretty anxious to get my 3rd function hooked up; that grapple looks like a TOOL!

Congrats on the new tractor, and I'm glad your father is there to enjoy it with you. I am another who lost mine much too young.

Congratulations on your new tractor, it will bring you and your family many hours of enjoyment. When my father in law (like a father to me) retired in his early sixties, he bought a couple of farms and a tractor. I was born and raised on a farm, so I offered advice and he ignored it bought the wrong stuff, broke stuff, but he was in heaven. He had four hip replacements and a stroke as well as heart attacks, but he would sneak off and get on a tractor. He actually died drivng it and Im sure he went happy. I am now the age of your father and there is no greater gift you could do for your dad.

Wow! The welcoming responses from you guys have been great! Especially about my father. He's a Vietnam veteran, hunter, fisherman, gardener, beekeeper, woodworker, knife maker, butcher, soap maker, etc..... All around good egg.( If you like eggs? That's what he says! Lol) After reading all your responses, I will re-double my efforts to do even more projects with him. Thank you all.
