I found out today that my next door neighbor knows me better than I thought he did!
Last night I happened to look out the window facing the rear of my property around 8PM. I saw a lot of lights traveling across my field and turning to cross my creek. I went outside and it was my neighbor on his MF and a huge JD behind him. The JD he told me was in the 130 hp range and 4WD. It had lights all over it, of course, they use it for corn and hay so a lot of their work is at nighttime. It was BIG. Dwarfed his old Massey and his tractor makes mine look small. I was afraid at the time that it would drive over my leach field, but it stayed behind my neighbor and all was OK.
Anyway, I walked out back today with one of my dogs to see if I could figure out what had been going on. I remember my neighbor was out "playing" on his tractor late yesterday afternoon and curiosity got the better of me. No, he wasn't working, he was actually playing on the tractor. He was pushing around brush piles to see how many rabbits he could kick out. Might as well use the plow for something the way the weather's been.
Way out back, on neither one of our properties, I saw ruts. It wasn't hard to figure out he had gotten stuck joyriding and must have called in the big guns to get him unstuck. He came over today and told me what went on and that he didn't think my tractor could pull him out because he was too far in and down to the frame. It would have been nice to try /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
As he was leaving I said to him that he could have at least told me so I could have taken some pictures, but he said that I probably would have put them up on the internet.
