Forum, Our neighborhood shares a private gravel access road about a mile long,10 to 12 feet wide. We maintain the road with neighborhood donations for gravel and free tractor time from some of our more committed neighbors.
One tractor operator claims that another tractor operator with his 6ft land planer type grader is destroying the crown on the road while he claims that his smaller land planer (I think it is 4 or 5 feet wide) is superior to maintaining the crown.
Yet,the operator with the 6 foot planer claims that overlapping the drag in the middle of the road actually is the best way to move gravel to the middle.
Both operators take care to operate their drags in the right direction and near the shoulder to get gravel moving to the center.
Opinion? We want to keep the peace in our neighborhood.
