My new green machine

I have been lurking on this board for a while, but here goes my first post. After much deliberation I decided on a Deere 5520 MFWD. I also gave serious consideration to the New Holland TL90, but I have always thought that a tractor should be green. I also bought a 541 MSL loader with a 84" bucket, a Deere MX8 rotary cutter, a Monroe-Tufline TH72420 8' 3pt disc, a Tuffline TB484 7' box blade, and a BushHog 2102 post hole digger. They are supposed to deliver it all next Monday or Tuesday. I am eager to see the new layout of the controls (I opted for the isolated operators station which moves most of the controls to the right fender much like the 6000 series) as well as to see how the new hydraulics perform. I will upload some pictures when the whole package gets here.

I forgot to mention that I opted for the power reverser transmission as well... I can't wait to try this baby out.

Sounds like a nice setup...I have the 5410 with the power-reverser tranny and if I hadn't got the dealer to throw it in for free I definitely would not have bought it, but now having used it for a couple of years I couldn't see being without it. Makes loader work and brushhogging a snap.

Have fun. Sounds like you are going to do some serious farming...if a added those things up right you should be plunking down pretty close to $37K for that setup....

Pretty close on the price, my dealer has not given me a total, but if I add up the quoted price for the tractor and the individual prices for the implements, I come to around $39K. I would be interested to see your breakdown of the prices though, to see if I am getting a fair shake.
