Rotary Cutter My new rotory cutter!

Just thought I would share a few pics of my new rotary cutter. Its a landpride 48". A dealer near me had it on clearance for $899. It looks like its right off the assembly line. I thought it would be more weathered and have maybe some rust here and there. I think I did ok. It also has the optional slip clutch (insteade of shear pin) and rubber protection, front and back. This thing is unassumingly very heavy. Definetely have to keep the loader on or some front weights to be able to steer. Cant wait to use it.


Now I just got to wait for summer!

You did much better than ok, thats a steal! I paid more than that for a 1542 with shear pin, and that was several years ago!

you did great, we have an older land pride thats a bear, its a 6 footer and works great. SOmetime I would like to have a smaller one for my atv trails.

Awesome! Thats good to hear. Dont really know too much about the pricing of these, just that they are fairly pricey. I figured it wasnt much more than one (if any) from Tractor supply, that had been sitting outside for a year, all faded and rusted. And I get a quality name brand one that I know will give me many good years of service, and is recommended by Kubota.

I had an RC48 model that I bought used and ran behind a JD 750 for about 10 years before I finally sold it and the tractor as package deal. That thing was tough as nails. The one I had was a different design than yours, but I'm sure yours will be just as tough and durable as mine was. Yours looks great too, enjoy it!
