Keep us informed on how this saw works out for you.... I may be buying a new one before too much longer, I can never justify spending twice the amount on a product, when I can buy one that will get the job done just as well,
I purchased a new 14" Sthil back in the early 80's and had a difficult time with keeping it running, it was very temperamental and had to use the stihl brand oil only and with just the right mixture,....and even then would be a 50%-50% if you could get it to start,
I stumbled upon a used Homelite at a garage sale for 25.00 and used it for 20 years, until I was given a New Poulan 14" wild thing as a B-day gift from my wife, I then hand the Homelite down to my son and he used it for a while longer, Until he loaned it to a friend and was never seen again,
I used the poulan trouble free for about 2 years, until backing over it with my trailer and cracking the bar oil reservoir, although it would still run but if set a couple days in its case the oil would run out and make a mess,
So next I purchase the King of the poulan, the pro 3300, and used it for 10 years before having any problems,.... I suppose what I'm saying is not all el-chea-po chainsaws are junk.... and some more expensive ones can turn out to be less than desirable

Incidentally I also use nothing but Homelite Weed trimer's, I have 2 of them.... 1-10 years old the other 12 years old, I also have a 20 year old stihl hanging on the wall that can never be started,
