I just purchased a 460 Rancher w/20" set-up week before last and got to use it a couple hours last week felling a couple good-sized trees and cutting to stove length. Sure is a nice cutting saw but not ideal for limbing a tree out, gets a little heavy. I'll keep using my 21 year-old McCulloch Wildcat that has a million abusive miles on it for the limbing. I bought that saw at Lowe's for $139 in 1990 and it is really amazing it still runs as well as it does. It is nice & light for limbing. I also have a Homelite 27av that was given to me about 10 years ago that still runs fairly well too but parts are getting more difficult to find. I'm hoping the new Husky will last longer than I can cut wood anymore.

Nice saw:thumbsup:

But I have to ask:

For someone in the "landscaping and land clearing" business, is this really the biggest saw you own??????

Keep us informed on how this saw works out for you.... I may be buying a new one before too much longer, I can never justify spending twice the amount on a product, when I can buy one that will get the job done just as well,;)
I purchased a new 14" Sthil back in the early 80's and had a difficult time with keeping it running, it was very temperamental and had to use the stihl brand oil only and with just the right mixture,....and even then would be a 50%-50% if you could get it to start,
I stumbled upon a used Homelite at a garage sale for 25.00 and used it for 20 years, until I was given a New Poulan 14" wild thing as a B-day gift from my wife, I then hand the Homelite down to my son and he used it for a while longer, Until he loaned it to a friend and was never seen again,
I used the poulan trouble free for about 2 years, until backing over it with my trailer and cracking the bar oil reservoir, although it would still run but if set a couple days in its case the oil would run out and make a mess,
So next I purchase the King of the poulan, the pro 3300, and used it for 10 years before having any problems,.... I suppose what I'm saying is not all el-chea-po chainsaws are junk.... and some more expensive ones can turn out to be less than desirable;) Incidentally I also use nothing but Homelite Weed trimer's, I have 2 of them.... 1-10 years old the other 12 years old, I also have a 20 year old stihl hanging on the wall that can never be started,
