My new tiller came in this evening. 66" MR-175 CCM. It's a monster. It certainly looks substantial. It's still sitting where we unloaded it off the truck. The truck got stuck and the Kubota and I pulled him out. Ran out of play time. Mark (CCI) by my calculations, it was delivered at least a week early. Talk about service! Will post again after I get a chance to hook it up, adjust the shaft if needed, and put it in service. Also have to figure out how to adjust the slip clutch.

Sounds like a winner! I love the look of those CCM tillers. I should be getting my new Woods soon, a special deal from my dealer or I would have gone with CCM.
I'm looking forward to seeing your working pics. Thanks, John

John, what model Woods tiller did you get? Have you received it yet? If so, how do you like it? I have been looking for several weeks now and still have not decided between a Woods GTC52, a First Choice from Mr. Sweet or a CCM from Mr. Carver.

I'm not sure if it's the GT or the GTC52. I haven't gotten it yet, should be next week when Wood's makes their delivery.
I had seen the tiller before when my dealer had one on the lot, but he sold out all of his Woods tillers and is waiting for them to come in. The GTC52 seems to be a better tiller than the GT52 which only has 4 blades/flange, as opposed to 6 on the GTC. Although, I'm sure only 4/flange will work just fine for me.
I've certainly read some good thoughts on the CCM tiller that Mark at CCI is selling, and well as the First Choice that Ken is selling. For me, it was a deal I couldn't refuse as my dealer is giving me a VERY good price which I won't mention. John

Set up the tiller. Checked the gearboxes, they were already filled. Made a mistake. I greased the pto shaft. Tried fitting it up, and discovered I needed to cut 2" out of the shaft. You guessed it! Moly grease all over everything. When I pulled the plastic off the tiller and pallet, I was very happy with the paint job. It looked great. I bought the MR-175 which is CCM's 66" tiller. It does cover my tracks with my tires at their widest setting. My ground is hard as a rock right now, with no moisture. Could not help myself, I ran it around for a little bit. Looks like it is going to be just fine. Now all I need is some rain to get serious.

I picked up a GTC52 last week from my dealer.... I loaded my tractor and took it with me. I am very glad I did as I wanted them to install the tiller for me. I am glad I did as the shaft needed to be adjust/cut down.

I am thrilled with how the tiller performs. I got the tiller for selfish reasons of course but also to do some side work to help with the tractor payments and such /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I told myself I would not get it until I had some work lined up. I picked up the tiller at noon and had a job at 1:30 that afternoon and within 3 hours of picking the tiller up I had made 200 cash....

millsnhills, A few more jobs and that thing will pay for itself! Hope to do the same thing when I retire. I prefer brush hogging though. I can solve most of the worlds problems sitting in a tractor seat. Now if people would only listen!
