New member here- total rookie with tractors. Just wanting to get some feedback. I just bought this tractor on ebay, picked it up, and barely dodged the storms getting it home- whew!!!

2006 MF 1552 w/FEL Grapple Kit, Box Scraper, Chipper, Trash Forks, 80 Hours, Great Shape- $16,400

Massey Ferg. Tractor with loader, 52H.P., Only 80 hours - eBay (item 320321665153 end time Dec-06-08 13:56:52 PST)

It was a little risky buying it sight unseen, but sure seems like a great tractor. A super neat couple I bought it from which always helps. Probably more machine than I need, but the price seemed right and I know I eventually will use the heck out of it. I've got 20 acres that needs a lot of clearing, trees that need to go on the sawmill, snow removal, fence projects, etc....

Well, I am still trying to convince the "more significant other" that is was well worth it since it has kind of maxed out our budget. Anyone want to give me a hand doing so? ;)

Looking forward to being on this site in the future. Thanks you all. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!

Aint that the truth!!!- good point to add to the argument for buying it. I have been looking for for a tractor for over a year- so now I have those extra few evening/weekend hours. Also on the plus side, now the neighbors are happy with the snow I can clear for them. This purchase gets better by the day ;)
