My new toys

Just thought I'd share a view of my two new toys. The RTV was purchased last summer. That is Essex Mfg cab s/n 2. I will get the first set of doors when they are ready. I know I'm ready now! The L4330HSTC was delivered last week. That's an ATI 4n1 bucket, and I have Kubota TnT installed also. Very nice tractor but there is an adjustment period from the NH TC-40, mostly the HST pedal differences. I have one question for folks with Pat's EZ hitch. Did you have any issues with your top link being short? The cylinder they put on for the TnT setup is too short to allow effective back tilt, i.e. using the rear blade only on the BB to smooth. Since Pat's moved the lower arm hookup points almost 3" rearward, the top is now too short. Any fixes besides insisting on a longer cylinder? Dealer is being cooperative but having trouble finding the correct cylinder. He suggested welding an extention onto the cylinder end. I was hoping for a better solution but may have to settle for the welding job. Any thoughts?

I switched from the NH for several reasons. There were a few items I wanted, i.e. TnT, grapple, cab, etc that I didn't want to spend that kind of money on a tractor with 1000 hrs. Also the local NH dealer has a service shop that I have lost faith in. I couldn't get another Boomer with a cab and the larger NH tractors don't offer HST. Zimmerer Kubota is one of the better Kubota dealers in the country and they opened a store here in Decatur. I admit someone will get a pretty good used tractor in that TC-40.

I'm just up the road in Bowie, I've been to both dealers in Decatur. Still looking, leaning toward the "other Orange" right now.

So... Did you trade it in or are you selling it outright? I haven't noticed a TC when I drive by there (I'll look more closely). Zimmerer also moves inventory around, so they could move your NH tractor to one of their other stores. The new cabbed Kubota looks very nice. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Jinman, the NH was traded for the Kubota. I don't know that I got a fair price for it since tracking down used tractor prices is darn near impossible. It all ended in a good deal on the Kubota, including Shop and Parts manuals and transportation back and forth if it needs to go to the shop. I got what I wanted at a price I could afford so I'm happy.
RedRocker- If you went into Zimmerer within the past two months I can understand your frustration. The store manager and salesman Pat left for a better job in Nov. I bought my RTV from him and have been dealing back and forth on this tractor for almost a year. His replacement is a real dink and will most likely run off more business than he produces. He tries, just not hard enough. If you want to deal with an experienced person that can really HELP, go on down to Ft. Woth and talk to Sam Zimmerer, one of the three brothers that own the business.

Rick, it's been a while since I was over there, so I haven't delt with the new guy. I appreciate the info though, they're probably closer to my home anyway.
