Is it too short or could it be jammed. I'm hooking up a landpride brushmower to a MF 1533 using Pat's Easy Change. The PEC adds about 2 inches length to the lower hitch arms.

I've read here about PTO extenders but the people at TSC have never heard of 'em.

I love the easy change system so I'm not taking that off if I don't have to.

If you can get the 2 halves of the PTO shafts to come apart, then it is not be jammed, just short

They may be called an "Extension Adapter".
There's a few shown on the Tractor Supply website, but go to the store to get the right one...which will have a push pin lock.
Do not make the mistake I made and buy one that requires a roll pin (which would mean you'd have to drill the tractor's PTO stub shaft).
BTW, the PEC adds 4", not 2". Sounds like you were close to the limit before you installed the PEC anyway.

Typical.
But I won't knock those kiddos in college working at TSC to earn money while they go to school

TSC sells them. So does Gebos

It's gummed up! Spray the shaft with monkey piss or penetrating lubricant of your choice and keep working it in and out and eventually it will come apart. You might be able to get that inch!

Yep, that's it. It's just stuck. I took it off and bowed up on it and it came loose. I landed on my *** but that's what happens. Then my flippin greenhouse blows down, or across the yard. what a frickin day.

Roy's right, the PEC extends the implement about 4 inches more to the rear. You might need an extension like the one I have on my 790. The picture is not the best, you can see the extension I added to the PTO output shaft. I ordered it from agrisupply.com, if you need the link for the exact part number, I think can dig it up for you.

That's strange--I bought a pto extender from my local TSC to get my Yanmar RS1200 rototiller attached to the Kubota B7510HST. It's the shiny thing between the tiller and the slip clutch. I needed the extender to keep the slip clutch from rubbing on the tiller's sheet metal top.

I hope you realize that if you have the triangular type drive shaft which most equipment today has, that it only fits together one way. The sides all look alike on them and will go in partially at every point but will only go together fully at the match point. I "accidentally" took mine apart when I unhooked from my Bush Hog once and forgot that one connecting point. I found the correct match on the 3rd try of course.

Not the OP but I would love the part number. We have an old rotary cutter at the farm that someone cut the driveshaft. The extension would work perfectly. Thanks!
