Thats pretty funny. Did it need any repairs ? I love the fact I have a roll bar now with the HPX although I had my doubt about it and low trees but I was plesantly suprised when I had no problems. Although thats not to say the thought of not having a roll bar ever slowed me down in the 6x4 I had my fair share of close calls in the 3 years I owned it.

he didn't mention anything about damaging it . it's really hard to hurt or break a gator maybe you can crack a fender but thats about it.i know with them bigger tires i have now i was goin down the headlane and had about 3 or 4'' of hard mud packed on them sort of the snowball rollin down the hill affectthe more i drove the more it built up. well anyway i decided to clean them off by speeding up and when i did a massive chunk flew off and cracked my back fender . and without stretchin the trueth any i swear this chunk of mud had to weigh atleats 10lbs about the size of a soccer ball. so now when i want to clean my tires i go and find a deep water hole and ride around in it it cost less. i haven't replced the fender but the price of a new one is about 110 bucks.and those two front fender flares i riped one off everytime i went ride so i just removed them and used them as a pattern and put some 1/4 thick rubber ones in thier place. now when i crest a hill and bottom out the flares just bend .i just might do the same to the rear . hey if you would like to join me and my buddies at the other web sight feel free www.ridesidebyside.com . it's just me skipholiday and argokiller in the john deere forum we need some more company.

My son climbing a 200 foot hill with stock tires. No problem with power here. Notice he even got a little air under one tire. :)
Please post pictures of the hill the hpx couldn't climb. I'm sure there is one,I would like to see what it looks like.
Thank you

BTW nice forum~!

yep your right my son goes everywhere on the hpx with me.they make the best co pilots they are always up for an adventure.my son id the dare devil though me and the wife drive the hpx to the back of the property and sometime we walk and let him drive .well one day i could hear the motor makin a really funny noise and i thought to my wife i bet he's doin donuts she said how can you tell i told her i know my hpx . sure enough i called him on the radio and said you better stop what your doin right now and he said oh man i was just cuttin a few donuts . my wife then started to laugh and said like father like son. although he doesn't like the new tires because you can't do donuts with them they biyte instead of slippin. then another day we was ridin and as we were ridin past some mud holes he said why don't you go through that one and i told him no i don't feel like gettin stuck he then tells me you ain't gonna get stuck i went through it yesterday and made it through just fine.lol i have to keep an eye on thet boy.

The first thing my dealer did was run me up a huge dirt pile in 2wd high gear. The angle had to be close to 45 degrees. It took no effort for diesel HPX to climb.

Even with 4wd low engaged there may be terrain it can't handle, but I haven't seen it yet. It's not an extreme climber, but I bet it could be be made to be. Jack it up with an advanced suspension and put a turbo on it and something to replace the belt. Maybe someday.

very nice pics all...I'm with you on the HPX not getting bogged down...

I have a golf cart I use around the farm, and when rain begins to fall, it gets parked! it gets stuck in mud if you say "mud" out loud...

but if the weather is dry, it sure will climb hills. Now if anybody wants to get into a pi**ing contest on the internet about how my golf cart won't climb hills in mud, let me just say.....YOU WIN! haha.
