Re: My Son\'s Christmas Tractor
The NY show was around 200 miles from me, the michigan show will be a little farther but hopfully worth the trip from what I hear. We do have quite a few tractor shows around here in the smaller farming areas and two years ago the South Dayton show had the Massey Harris Collectors at their show bringing hundreds of MH from all over the US. The brothers are not related to me it is just how they are refered to, you say the brothers and everyone knows who you are talking about. They will help anyone who stops by their house and have no secrets. I have learned a lot from them and hopefully will learn more as I see them at the shows. The south dayton show has tractor pulls for 3 days with the last day being the heaviest tractors, all classics as the tractors have to be older then 1965 to show there. The last day is the day I enjoy that is when the Minny's, Oliver 99's, JD 730 & 830, Farmall M's and Allis WD- 45 show up to pull. It is a wonderful sound to hear all those diesels idling as they wait to pull. Later.
