why is it in a sewer pipe?

keep the string timmer from cutting into it?

seems odd to stuff it THAT far down a pipe, but it may have something to do with forceing it to grow nice straight clear trunk area for when its a MUCH bigger tree.

Does anyone else find themselves amazed that "people would pay for that?!" ??

For example, I mow off sycamore saplings all the time. And I've pulled literally boatloads of Parrot Feather out of my pond. I see trees for sale in Miller's or other catalogs; trees that grow wild here. And Parrot Feather is sold with fish in pet stores. I wonder what I'm buying that others find themselves amazed that I'm paying for.

Eric, how do you get those TREE PRO things off? I couldn't tell after a casual look at their web site. Are they slit up their length, or do you cut them off?

In the east, (the right coast) sycamore trees make very fine shade trees. Many people like the look of the bark and they are not bothered by many insects or diseases.

my county supplied the cylinders in their seed and soil program this year year, and the sycamores, well i like 'em because they're fast growing and local --
