Finally decided to mount tool box on SMV angle iron between fenders on my 4300 HST.
Remove SMV sign-not bracket
Mounted two scrap alum angle pieces back to back with one mateing with SMV angle. One pair on each side of SMV bracket with enough room for PHD in near full up position between to two pair. Note: my PHD will bend SMV angle iron if allowed to go in full up position.
Cut two pieces treated plywood, one size of bottom of tool box and other cut to fit inside bottom of box and bolt to angle.
Drill two new holes in plastic SMV so metal tab on back can seat in bracket with tool box removed.
