Hey all....

Well, here's the latest on my shed.

I built a couple of standard swing type doors for it. They came out around pretty good, and don't really weigh that much. I used 3 10" hinges per side, so hopefully they won't sag too much over time. My puppy didn't seem too impressed with them tho..... more interested in soaking up the sun. :)

And I got just about everything done with at least one coat of paint.... if the weather holds out, I'll get the second one on before the holiday.

I also got my solar panels mounted and battery shelf completed. I should have at least some basic lighting installed over the weekend...not that I plan on spending a lot of time out there in the dark. It's mainly going to be used to keep the batteries on my GC and other toys topped up.

Now I'm starting think about placing some concrete for a decent floor. I don't really need that much, and I can self-finish a floor this size. But with the temps being what they are, I think this is going to have to wait until the new year.

Looking good.
Regarding your 10' rule -
Could you build a pergola/arbor between 2 buildings?
Or a greenhouse?
And what about a tent?
My county in Virginia allows 256sq ft of building but 800 sq ft of "tent", which those shelter logic

things are.

Nothing spectacular, but it's the largest wooden 'thing' I've ever built, so it's a big project to me.

That's a great job. Nice building. And it's your first venture. You can be proud of that

Thanks for the kind words guys!

I got my storage battery and and lights wired up this morning. Just the 12v florescent that came with the PV system, but they'll be fine for the amount of time I plan on spending out there in the dark.

I'm not too worried about the max size thing..... I actually have a metal building sitting here that I'm going to try and get put up next year. It's only 40'X40', but that should solve a lot of my space issues. :)

Everyone have a great Thanksgiving!
