My tractor\'s in the hospital

My TC21D is in the shop for 2 days. I was brush hogging in my woods and had some trees under the tractor, while i was backing up a short distance and turning the wheel I started to spin a bit so i stoped and pop in 4 Wheel and started moving just as i looked down at the left front tire i noticed a short puff like noise and what to look like smoke but was too low for the exaust. Thats when i thought...oops popped a seal and it was Hydraulic fluid that quick fine prayed the image of smoke. I let her set overnight with no puddle. I thought Huh...i know i blew a seal. I just had that feeling. I used the tractor that day and again put it away and it performed perfect....no leak found. The next day after work i thought ide look right away cause i knew i didnt baby it the night before and there was the puddle. About the size of a quarter. There was a light touch of oil on the bottom of the spindle housing. I called the dealer right away. This morning they stopped by and looked at it...and hauled her away....sniff sniff. They said it was all covered....I knew that with only 112 hours on it. They said they have had 2 other TC21D's do this. I feel i have pushed this tractor to the limits and beyond with all the work i had for it upfront before i got it. Lots of heavey lifting with the bucket and lots of mowing and brush cutting was waiting for her when i got it. Alot of my real hard work is over for this tractor. I put this tractor thru hell brush and small tree cutting all summer and it has performed flawless so far. This i think could have been prevented on my part. SssHhhh dont tell my dealer

Re: My tractor\'s in the hospital

Thats exactly how I thought you were supposed to use a tractor. The loader can either do it or it can't. If one goes up to the Empire State building and slips the front edge of the bucket underneath it in an attempt to lift it, chances are it won't, but that certainly won't damage it, that is the beauty of hydraulics. Glad to see your using your tractor as they are designed to be used. Rat...

I didnt do it while using the loader....while brush cutting. I will continue to use her just like i have been..maybe not quit as hard. The most thickest stuff i will cutting is done. After that it will be maintaining paths and brush from over growing again.

Your dealer can tell by looking at your tractor if it has been abused or not. Doesn't look like it to me.
