My Trailer ....Stolen by Low Lifes

Someone stole my trailer ..Our property is on a corner of two roads and the trailer was parked 50 ft. off the road along a line of woods between my son's house and mine, so someone had to actually come onto the property and hook it up and off they went..6' X 12' Landscape Trailer with all mesh and mesh ramp. I just had put new tires on it for them too.

Now I post this just to give a heads up...Things I did not do and shoulda, woulda & coulda... I should have had it chained to a tree, I should have had it parked where it was not visible at all from the road, I should have had a lock on the hitch coupler...so I had gotten into a comfort zone and never had a problem and I suppose things are changing so keep your trailers and for that matter all equipment secure. I doubt I'll ever get it back..they will no doubt ditch the plates and grind off the serial No. and repaint it - at least that is what the sheriffs deputy told me..BEWARE !

That stinks. All the trailers I sell we hide a second serial # under it on the center cross brace. Never had to use it but can not be found but by me and the owners. I have also etched in the serial number behind a light then put the light back on.

I've been known to do somewhat the same thing. Except I used number punch sets. Even if ground down, they are hard to get completely rid of.

And to the OP, that stinks. Hope they find it.

There was recently a trailer stolen in my neighborhood. I have started locking my drive through gates to deter theft but as we all know it all but impossible to stop a determined thief.

sad to hear that.. I hope next time you'll be careful about your property.. I suggest to cover to trailer with billboard tarps so that it will seen by any intruders

Just click on the little red triangle under his name and report him as a spammer, the mods are pretty good at removing them fast.

This stuff drives me nuts. Won't be long before the only good defense will be GPS tracking and video survelience (I have no idea how to spell this one LOL).

I guess out of sight out of mind is about the only thing you can do.

Be sure to check craigs and ebay and maybe you'll see it listed if not stolen for private use or an already identified buyer.

Sorry for the theft and the crappy feeling. Had a car stolen once and it was not fun.
