Years ago the local paper ran a "mystery welder" pic of someone welding a stainless steel coping on a rec Dept pool being built by volunteers. Turned out to be a local judge that put himself thru law school by welding in a production shop at night. His message was no matter your education, everyone should have a fall back trade.
