My very own 1882

Well after much hemming and hawwing I went ahead and bought a neat looking tractor this past Tuesday, a 1990 1882. My choices were a 2006, 5232D or the very well maintained 1882. I almost had the 5232 delivered to the house when I unexpectedly called up that dealer, canceled delivery and drove to the other dealer, test drove the old girl and fell in love! Although the 5232 was in immaculate shape and a VERY nice tractor(see thread on advise for a 5323) I think that the 1882 fits what I need much better at about $3,000 less.
I've used the kwik way loader a lot the past few days and it is great. I am going to try to detach it tomorrow and hook up the deck to try some mowing. I have the original owners operators manual to guide me so it should be OK. I will report over the next few days to let you all know how it went. I will try to post some pictures as well.

Just sold the 1872. Only thing I had to do was replace a PTO clutch on it in 6 years of ownership, besides general maintenance.

I took off the loader today and it was real easy and only took about 10-15 minutes and I have never done it before. I am not going to put the deck on until I get the rusty old looking blades replaced looking at this Tuesday for that. I am going to try and take some pictures tonite from the barn and between commercials during the Penguins-Caps game.
