Went up to Maine to check on the property. I was unsure as to what I would find. The plow guy called last week and told me he couldn't make it halfway up the driveway because of ice under the snow. Now if the driveway is not clean the propane truck can't deliver, you see where I'm going here.
I start up the driveway I don't even get as far as the plow did, then of course I spin out and get the truck stuck in a snowbank. Well I walk up the hill, dig out the Kubota fire it up and head down, concerned about the ice.
It turned out the best money I spent last year was buying my tire chains, front & rear. I went up the hill, down the hill, cleaned the hill and pulled my truck out with minimal effort. Not only did they keep the machine going I managed to damage the ice surface enough I was able to drive all the way up with no effort at all. All in all a great winter experience and about 4 hours of seat time.
