We'll start a battle over who's the luckiest guy.

Since my wife and I got married 2 years ago, I've been truly blessed. The first valentines day, she gave me a table saw. Then I mentioned that we could sure use a tractor. We started checking them out the next weekend and financed one on her credit (we were refinancing the house on my credit and didn't want any loans to show.) This past Xmas, she bought me a new drill press. When we were putting some wood flooring down, I'd measure and mark the boards and she'd fire up the saw and cut them. I need to teach her welding next. She's not without reward, we can probably open a jewelry store pretty soon. She's earned everyone of them.

I had a wife like that once....... actually I still have her.... after many aniversaries..... times change.... Now only I operate the saw, and the tractor, and a lot of other things. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif As for the jewlery store...... every woman loves jewlery and always wants more. As long as I can afford it, it is a very easy gift that keeps giving. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Oh yea, my wife is the best of all. The lovely Mrs_Bob goes away for 5 weeks every summer and takes the kid and the little yappy dog too. Top that!!!

Mysteriously while she is gone, new tractors, implements, guns, tools, and other assorted toys seem to show up every year. HA!

Mine gives me tractor tasks, washes both our MX bikes, packs our riding gear, helped me get our new 18ft flatbed trailer and arrainged to have free wood chips delivered by the truckload from the local tree trimming company (did I mention the deliveries are on a daily basis with no end in sight). She doesn't really want more jewelry, loves to cook and sew (she's making new drapes) and teach me botany. What's best is that she still wants to spend her life with me. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You got me Bob! My wife has 3 little yappy dogs. I'm trying to outlast them. One of them's 13 or 14, can't be much longer. The next oldest is 11 or 12, might be a challenge. The youngest yappy dog is 3, I have no chance of outliving that one. She'll suspect me of something if it dies prematurely.

I don't mind the dogs, but what is your secret to getting her to leave for 5 weeks. Mine won't leave for more than a few days and then takes the master key to the house just to make sure that I can't lock her out. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Geez, I had a two day fight over the tractor ending with me saying "I gonna buy the tractor and don't give a **** what you think" - not exactly the ideal way to get the tractor...
Perhaps it was because I had just wasted $5000 on a green tractor (guess) that was no better than a Wal-Mart model.
But realizing the error of my ways, I thought the Kubota to be the only way to save what was left of my investment by trading the green one in on the REAL tractor.

I was finally absolved one day when she said "you know this tractor is pretty handy to have around" - I almost fell over.

So, if I ever have to trade HER in, I'll be asking about tractor opinions during the "interview" process...

She does have other redeeming qualities which is why I keep her around...(or is it that she keeps ME???)

I don't mind the dogs Junkman, I've found that her little yappy dog doesn't "mind" me either. I wish he would, I'd probably step on it a lot less often. Someday he'll learn?

The youngest yappy dog is 3, I have no chance of outliving that one. She'll suspect me of something if it dies prematurely. The trick is to make it seem like natural causes. Seeing them fly off in the talons of a wayard red tailed hawk is always a good choice.

And as for how I get her to leave for 5 weeks every summer that is pretty easy. She has to put up with me the rest of the year, if you did that you'd leave too.
