Nice setup, your all set for the snow that should be coming your way. We received about 6" to 7" yesterday @ Galway, N.Y. and the cold front is coming in tonight. Suppose to be -2 degrees tomorrow night and Sunday along with a few more inches of snow tonight.

Well near the end of the year last winter my winch chute rotator died on me. I left it all year until two weeks ago when my dad took it apart got me. He dumped about a cup of water out of the winch motor. The way I had it mounted (motor down) the water ran right down in there. :-( Much to my surprise my dad got the winch working again but I don't trust it too much now. So I bought a new winch for $60 at Tractor supply and used the winch I had to control the chute deflector.

I made a control switch box to get rid of the two separate winch controllers.

The only problem I have now is the movement on the chute deflector is WAY too fast. Does anyone know if I can add some sort of resister in series with the motor to slow it down?
