Okay even after my discovery of the cracked head and knowing how hard parts are to get for this model, I was still excited! So I pressed on...

With my handy DeWalt 4" right angle grinder and a wire wheel I went to work. A sand blaster would have been ideal but maybe next time. Everything I pulled I took it down to the bare metal. Fuel tank, battery compartment, front bumper. Front grille and light assembly.

Good Job. I went through the same process as your going through. I'm glad I didn't have as much rust to deal with. But thinking back it was well worth the effort. Your going to be pleased and it will probly last for YRS.
